Project 10 Pan!

As the title says I'm going to give Project 10 pan a try. Nice way to start a beauty related blog. Hahhah. For those who don't know what that is, it means I have to use up 10 cosmetic products/make up items before I'm allowed to buy new things.

Why now? Well, I realized I was buying more things than actually using. I figured this would encourage me to use more of what I have. What's the point of owning a dozen eye shadow palettes if you're actually using only one of them and so forth. Of course if I happen to finish all my foundation, primers or something important like that I'm allowed to get new ones.

I have a few items I'm actually hoping to use up during this challenge.

Project 10 pan

1. Benefit Pore-fessional, which is a translucent primer. I feel that it does what it says it does, which according to the package is minimizing the appearance of pores. It has a slight tint to it so I don't know how it would work with more darker ladies. I, myself, am a light to medium skin toned. I do actually like this product, but I've had it for quite a while now. It does a decent job as a primer. The product doesn't really make my pores disappear obviously, but makes them look less obvious. Plus it gives a nice smooth base for foundation. The only thing that I really don't like about is the smell. I don't really know how to describe it, but I find it a bit peculiar. Fortunately it's not overpowering and disappears quite quickly. I don't know how it fair all in all, because I do have only experience with two primers, this and L'oréal Studio Secrets (which I'll discuss in a moment).

2. Depend nail polish in #039. A basic black creme. Nothing special about it. I already have so many other blacks that keeping this makes no sense. I like the brand, because they have a variety of color and they're really cheap. I'm wearing the black right now and it seems to chip much easily that ever before. I'm think it's more, because my nails are in awful condition at the moment. I don't really know what to do about my nails. Adding supplement might be a solution. Also being more rigid about hydrating them. I recently moved and I've been packing and unpacking. The amount of dust seriously. Oops, got on a tangent.

3. Depend nail polish in #19, which is a nice and classic red creme. Same thing as for the previous polish apply.

4. L'oréal Studio Secrets primer. Basic pink toned primer that is clear when blended. At first I didn't like it at all when I used it. After a bit I realized I was applying it too thickly. After that realization I started liking it and does a decent job. No funky smells with this one. Actually no smell at all.

5. Benefit Highbeam, sample size, a pink toned creamy highlighter. When used moderately this gives you a nice glow. If over used you'll end up looking like a distant cousin of a Twilight vampire. This product last quite nicely throughout the day.

6. Benefit Some Kind-a Gorgeous, which is "foundation faker" as they put it on the label. It's a bit of a odd product since it's not really a foundation. I don't really know what to call it to be fully honest. I like it still. It's best for those days where I want to equalize the color of my face and I'm not having a bad skin day (ie. no breakouts).

7. L'oréal Matte Morphose Souffléfoundation. Nice creamy-kind of a foundation that evens my skin. It's a well rounded nice product. Though one must be careful not to over apply it. It's very easy to make your skin look cakey and overly done.

8. Lumene kajal in black. This is already discontinued and has been for a quite a while. Yes, it's probably my oldest make up product. It's still fully functioning. For some reason I think it's one of my favorite soft kajals. Though I do admit that I'm not crying over the fact that it's discontinued. I've found quite a few replacements. Works best when you want to have a soft liner. Not too good on the waterlines.

9. Nivea Beauté kajal in Titan. The color is a warm medium grey. I have no idea if they still make it or not as they recently stopped selling Nivea make up in Finland. Best for soft day looks. Nice kajal, nothing special about it.

10. Dove Supreme Silk Lotion, which I forgot to include in the picture. This product is a very basic moisturizer. Meh, nothing special about. No wait. It glitters. Not so badly that you look like a Cullen, but enough for it to really bother me. I don't have anyone who would want it, so I'm stuck using it. It does moisturize my skin nice enough for me to ignore the glitter. I already have a couple of other moisturizer that are waiting to be used.

Let's see how long I can survive without buying anything new.
